La Via Lattea estiva  The summer Milky Way centro foto A.R. 17h48m35s - Decl. -24°28'00"

In questa foto della Via Lattea estiva, scattata il 9 agosto 2002 dal Monte Labro (GR) usando una macchina fotografica con obbiettivo Canon da 50 mm aperto a F:2.8 su montatura Eq6, è possibile vedere numerose nebulose poste fra il Sagittario e il Serpente. Si vedono infatti la Nebulosa Laguna (M 8), la nebulosa Trifida (M 21), la nebulosa Aquila (M 16), la nebulosa Omega (M 17). La traccia che attraversa l'immagine è di un aereo. La peculiarità della foto è che la parte inferiore della fotografia inquadra stelle a circa 4° sopra l'orizzonte. L'esposizione, su pellicola Kodak E200 esposta a 640 ISO, è stata di 4 minuti usando solo il moto orario della montatura. Successivamente la diapositiva è stata scannerizzata con uno scanner dia Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III, e processata mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. In this photo of the summer Milky Way, taken on august 9 2002 from the Labro Mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, with a Canon 50 mm lens at F:2.8, on a EQ6 mount, you can see various nebulas, between Sagittarium and Serpens. The picture shows the Lagoon (M8), the Triphid (M20), on right top, the Eagle (M16) and the Swan (M17). The with line is due to an aircraft which flew through the part of the sky I captured in my photo. The bottom of this photo is about 4° above the horyzon. I exposed the Kodak E 200 film, pushed at 640  ISO, for 4 minutes without any guide. Then I scanned the photo with a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III scanner, and processed the file with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance.
