La cometa C2001 Q4 NEAT, l'ammasso M44 e un airone cinerino The C2001 Q4 NEAT, the M44 cluster  and an Ardea Cinerea centro foto A.R. 08h40m00s - Decl. +20°00'00"

In questa foto, scattata il 15 maggio 2004 dal Monte Labro (GR) usando una macchina fotografica con obbiettivo Canon 80/200 posto su 135 mm aperto a F:5.6 su montatura Eq6, è possibile vedere la congiunzione tra la cometa C2001 Q4 NEAT e l'ammasso aperto M44 nel Toro. L'esposizione, su pellicola Kodak E200 esposta a 320 ISO, è stata di 15 minuti usando come autoguida un ST-4 posto su un rifrattore 102/500. Successivamente la diapositiva è stata scannerizzata con uno scanner dia Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III, e processata mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. Da ultimo è stata aggiunta la sagoma dell'airone fotografato la sera prima da Monsummano Terme (PT) con il medesimo obbiettivo mentre riposava in cima a un albero. In this photo, taken on may 15 2004 from the Labro Mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, with a 80/200 lens at 135 mm and F:5.6, on EQ6 mount, you can see the conjunction between the C2001 Q4 NEAT comet and the open cluster M44 in Taurus. I exposed the Kodak E 200 film, pushed at 320 ISO, for 15 minutes guiding with the Sbig ST-4 CCD autoguider on a refractor 102/500. Then I scanned the slide with a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III scanner, and processed the file with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance. At last I added the silhouette of the bird, taken the previous day from Monsummano Terme, near Pistoia, with the same lens, while it rested on the top of a tree.
