Le galassie M65 (NGC 3623) e M66 (NGC 3627) nel Leone The M65 (NGC 3623) and M66 (NGC 3627) galaxies in Leo A.R. 11h17m40s - Decl. +12°59'00"

Questa foto delle galassie M65 e M66 è stata scattata il 3 maggio 2003 dal Monte Labro (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Vixen R200SS (200 mm F:4) su montatura EQ6. L'esposizione, su pellicola Fuji Provia 400 F esposta a 400 ISO, è stata di 30 minuti con inseguimento effettuato mediante rifrattore 80/910 in parallelo e reticolo illuminato Meade 12 mm.. Successivamente la diapositiva è stata scannerizzata con uno scanner dia Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III, e processata mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. Nella foto sono visibili inoltre le galassie NGC 3593 (A.R. 11h14m36s - Decl. +12°49'00") a destra e NGC 3628  (A.R. 11h20m18s - Decl. +13°35'00") in alto a sinistra. This photo of the two galaxies M65 and M66 in Leo was taken on may 3, 2003 on the Labro Mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Vixen R200SS telescope (200 mm F:4) using a Syntha Eq6 mount. I exposed the film Fuji Provia 400F at 400 ISO for 30 minutes with a manual guide on a small refractor 80/910 and illuminated reticle eyepiece Meade 12mm. Then I scanned the slide with a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III scanner, and processed the file with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance. At the left top of the photo you can see also the galaxies NGC 3593 (A.R. 11h14m36s - Decl. +12°49'00") on right and NGC 3628 (A.R. 11h20m18s - Decl. +13°35'00") on left top.
