La nebulosa Sharpless 112 The Sh2-112 nebula A.R. 20h34m00s - Decl. +40°45'00"

Il complesso nebulare Sharpless 112 nel Cigno è locato a circa 1°20' a Ovest di Deneb. La stella che provoca l'eccitazione dell'idrogeno intergalattico è conosciuta come SAO 49801 ed è una stella di classe O8V. La distanza media delle stelle poste in questa nebulosa è stimata in circa 5650 anni luce. La costellazione del Cigno, attraversata dalla Via Lattea per tutta la sua lunghezza, è ricca di nebulose a emissione di idrogeno. This nebula lies in the constellation of Cygnus 1°20' west of Deneb (alfa Cygni). The exciting star for this nebula is an O8V class star known as SAO 49801. The average distance of the stars associated with this nebula is  about 5650 light years. The Cygnus constellation, crossed by the Milky Way, is rich of hydrogen emitting nebulas.

Questa foto della nebulosa Sharpless 112, visibile nella costellazione del Cigno, è frutto di una serie di scatti effettuati dal Monte Amiata (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA102 con riduttore di focale a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 Obs con Fs2. Gli scatti sono stati effettuati il 1 e il 2 maggio2008 per un totale di 13 scatti da 12 minuti l'uno con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 20D con filtro modificato, settata a 800 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 120/600 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4. Sono inoltre stati ripresi 7 scatti da 3 minuti ciascuno (sempre con gli stessi parametri e strumentazione) per poter avere un colore più saturo delle stelle Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con DeepSkyStacker sottraendo il dark e applicando il flat. Sono state eleborate separatamente la nebulosa dalle stelle mediante stretching, maschera sfocata e riduzione del rumore. Successivamente sono state riunite le varie componenti ed effettuato il bilanciamento del colore. This photo of the Sharpless 112 nebula , in Cygnus, was taken from Amiata Mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TS102 telescope with its reducer at f/6.3 using a Gemini G41 Obs mount with Fs2. I took the pictures in May 1 and 2, 2008. The photo is the sum of 13 frames of 12 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 20D (filter modified), exposed at 800 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 120/600. I took also 7 frames of 3 minutes to have the star with colour more satured. Then I summed the frames with DeepSkyStacker, calibrating the frames with the dark and the flat. Then I divided the stars from the nebula and processed this last layer using a stretching, an unsharp mask, a noise reduction. At last I joined all the layer and set a color balance.
