Ammasso NGC7380 e nebulosa SH2-142 The Wizard nebula (Sh2-142) and open cluster NGC 7380 A.R. 22h47m20s - Decl. +58°08'00"

Questa foto della nebulosa Wizard (Sh2-142), visibile nella costellazione di Cefeo e che circonda l'ammasso aperto NGC 7380, è stata scattata il 25 e 26 settembre 2009 dal giardino di casa ad Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA 102 a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 Obs con Fs2. Le due serate sono state caratterizzate da forte vento a raffica e da un continuo passaggio di cirri che hanno pesantemente deteriorato l'immagine sia causando mosso sia diminuendo il segnale utile. La foto è la somma di 23 esposizioni da 12 minuti cadauna, con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 40D con filtro modificato, settato a 400 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 120/600 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4. Successivamente i frames sono stati calibrati con Deep Sky Stacker con sottrazione di dark (29) e applicazione di flat (42), dark dei flat (42) e bias (42). La somma è avvenuta con Registar. Sono state separate le stelle e la nebulosa è stata elaborata separatamente mediante stretching, maschera sfocata e riduzione del rumore. Le stelle sono state elaborate a parte per una riduzione del mosso. Successivamente è stata riunita la componente stellare, e effettuato il bilanciamento dei livelli. This photo of the Wizard nebula (Sh2-142), in Cepheus, surrounding the open cluster NGC 7380, was taken on september 25 and 26, 2009 from the backyard of my home in Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA 102 reduced at f/6.3 using a Gemini G41 Obs mount with Fs2. Both the nights were very windy and cyrrus ran in the sky. The photo is the sum of 23 frames, each of 12 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 40D (filter modified), exposed at 400 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 120/600. Then I calibrated the frames with Deep Sky Stacker (29 dark, 42 flat, 42 dark of flat and 42 bias frames), stacked with Registar, separated the star from the nebula and processed the nebula using a stretching, an unsharp mask, a noise reduction. I processed the star to round them. At last I joined the star with the background and balance them.
