La nebulosa Cederblad 214 è una nebulosa a emissione immersa in una zona piena di ulteriori nebulose più deboli identificate sul catalogo Sharpless2 al numero 171. La costellazione in cui è possibile trovarla, Cefeo, è molto ricca di nebulose luminose ed oscure. Cederblad 214 nebula is an emission nebula, inside an area full of further fainter nebulas known as Sh2-171. It's possible find it in the constellation of Cepheus, full of light and dark nebulas.

Questa foto della nebulosa Cederblad 214, visibile nella costellazione di Cefeo, è stata scattata nella notte del 20 agosto 2009 dal giardino della casa ad Arcidosso (GR)al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA102 ridotto a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 Obs con Fs2. La foto è la somma di 25 esposizioni da 10 minuti cadauna, con una fotocamera digitale Canon Eos 40D con filtro modificato, settato a 400 ISO, che sono state effettuate con inseguimento mediante rifrattore 120/600 in parallelo e autoguida SBIG ST4 auna temperatura di circa 21°. Le singole foto sono state successivamente calibrate con un totale di 15 dark, 21 flat, 21 dark dei flat e 21 bias mediante Deep Sky Stacker. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar. E' stato elaborato il segnale della sola nebulosa mediante stretching, maschera sfocata e riduzione del rumore. Successivamente è stata riunita la componente delle stelle a sua volta elaborata e effettuato il bilanciamento dei livelli. This photo of the Cederblad 214 nebula, in Cepheus, was taken on august 208, 2009 from the backyard of my home in Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA 102  telescope reduced at f/6.3, using a Gemini G41 Obs mount with Fs2. The photo is the sum of 25 frames, each of 10 minutes, with a Dslr camera Canon Eos 40D (filter modified), exposed at 400 ISO, taken with a Sbig ST4 autoguide on a refractor 120/600 with a temperatura of about 21° (70° F). I calibrated each photo with a total of 15 dark, 21 flat, 21 dark, 21 bias using Deep Sky Stacker. Then I summed the frames with Registar, and processed the nebula layer using a stretching, an unsharp mask, a noise reduction. At last I joined the nebula layer with the star one and balance them.
