Le galassie M95 (NGC 3351) e M96 (NGC 3368) nel Leone The M95 (NGC 3351) and M96 (NGC 3368) galaxies in Leo A.R. 10h45m20s - Decl. +11°45'45"

Questa foto delle galassie M95 e M96 è stata realizzata in due notti. La prima  il 19 gennaio 2007 e la seconda il 17 marzo 2007 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Vixen R200SS (200 mm F:4) su montatura EQ6 con Vixen Skysensor 2000 PC. La prima notte ho scattato 16 foto da 240 secondi l'una con sensibilità a 800 ISO mentre la seconda le foto sono state 32 da 300 secondi sempre a 800 ISO. Ho sempre usato una Canon EOS300D modificata, con autoguida SBIG ST-4 e  rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar, e processate con Photoshop, separatamente le galassie e le stelle, mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. Poi sono state riunite le due immagini insieme. This photo of the M95 and M96 galaxies was taken in two nights. The first was on january 19, 2007 from Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Vixen R200SS telescope (200 mm F:4) using a Syntha Eq6 mount with a Vixen Skysensor 2000 PC while the second one, with the same setup and location, on march 17, 2007. The first night I took 16 frames of 4 minutes each while the second one the frames were 32 of 5 minutes each, alwais using a Canon Eos 300D Digital Rebel modified camera at 800 ISO and they were taken with a SBIG ST-4 autoguide on a small refractor 102/500. Then I summed the frames with Registar, divide the stars from the galaxies, and processed the files in Photoshop with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance. At last I joined the two pics together.
