Questa foto delle galassie M84. M86 e M87 e delle altre galassie facenti parte dell'ammasso nella Vergine conosciuto coma Catena di Markarian è stata scattata il 17 aprile 2010 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA102S ridotto a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 Obs con controller FS2. L'esposizione è la somma di 18 frames da 10 minuti ciascuno ripresi con la Canon EOS40D (con filtro IR CUT modificato) settata a 800 ISO, è stata effettuata con autoguida Atik 16IC e  rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo. Per un errore i flat non sono stati realizzati in modo corretto e non sono stati utilizzati. La calibrazione, perciò, effettuata  con Deep Sky Stacker, è stata fatta con 22 dark ripresi con una cold box il giorno dopo e 21 bias. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar, e processati con Photoshop mediante applicazione di stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori con differenti elaborazioni per stelle e galassie. This photo of the galaxies M84, M86, M87 and the other ones also known as the Matrkarian Chain in Virgo was taken on april 17, 2010 from Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA102S telescope reduced at f/6.3 using a Gemini G41 Obs mount with a FS2 controller. The picture is the sum of 18 frames of 10 minutes each taken with my Canon Eos 40D (IRcut filter modified) at 800 ISO, using an Atik 16IC autoguide on a 102/500 refractor. Cause my mistake the flat files were taken erroneusly and I coludn't use them. I calibrate the frame only with 22 darks (taken the following day with a self-made cold box) and 21 bias. Then I summed the frames with Registar, and processed the file in Photoshop with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance with different processing for stars and galaxiees.
