La galassia M86 (NGC 4406) nella Vergine The M86 galaxy (NGC 4406) in Virgo A.R. 12h36m45s - Decl. +12°52'00"

Questa foto della galassia M86 e delle altre galassie facenti parte dell'ammasso nella Vergine è stata scattata il 7 e l'8 aprile 2007 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Vixen R200SS (200 mm F:4) su montatura EQ6 con Vixen Skysensor 2000 PC. L'esposizione è la somma di 32 frames da 8 minuti ciascuno con la Canon EOS300D modificata con filtro IR cut Baader settata a 400 ISO, è stata effettuata con autoguida SBIG ST-4 e  rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo. Per problemi di autoguida sono andate perse ben 16 immagini da 8 minuti riprese il 6 e il 7 aprile. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Registar, quindi ho provveduto a separare le galassie dalle stelle provvedendo a separate elaborazioni con Photoshop mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. Da ultimo le due componenti sono state riunite insieme. This photo of the M86 galaxy and the other ones in the cluster in Virgo was taken on april 7 and 8, 2007 from Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Vixen R200SS telescope (200 mm F:4) using a Syntha Eq6 mount with a Vixen Skysensor 2000 PC. The photo is the sum of 32 frames of 8 minutes using a Canon Eos 300D Digital Rebel camera at 400 ISO (modified with a Baader IRcut filter) and they were taken with a SBIG ST-4 autoguide on a small refractor 102/500. Then I summed the frames with Registar, Divide the stars from galaxies and processed each file in Photoshop with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance. At the end I joined together the resulting files.
