Questa foto della galassia M63 nei Cani da Caccia è stata realizzata il 1 maggio 2008 dal Monte Amiata (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA 102 con riduttore a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 obs e controller FS2. E' la somma di 10 foto da 720 secondi l'una con sensibilità a 800 ISO con una Canon EOS 20D modificata, con autoguida SBIG ST-4 e  rifrattore 120/600 in parallelo. Successivamente i frames sono stati sommati con Deep Sky Stacker e Registar, e processate con Photoshop, separatamente le galassie e le stelle, mediante applicazione di uno stretching, maschera sfocata e bilanciamento dei colori. Poi sono state riunite le immagini insieme. This photo of the M63 "Sunflower" galaxy in Canes Venaticorum was taken on may 1, 2007 from the Amiata mount, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA 102 telescope qith reducer at f/6.3 using a Gemini G41 obs mount with a Fs2 controller. I took 10 frames of 12 minutes each using a Canon Eos 20D Digital modified camera at 800 ISO and they were taken with a SBIG ST-4 autoguide on a small refractor 120/600. Then I summed the frames with Deep Sky Stacker and Registar, divide the stars from the galaxies, and processed the files in Photoshop with a stretching, an unsharp mask and, last, a color balance. At last I joined the pics together.
