Questa foto del grande ammasso globulare in Ercole è stata scattata il 1 maggio 2009 da Arcidosso (GR) al fuoco diretto di un telescopio Takahashi TSA 102 ridotto a f/6.3 su montatura Gemini G41 Obs. L'esposizione è la somma di 14 frames da 10 minuti ciascuno e di 12 da 2 minuti ripresi con la Canon EOS300D settata a 400 ISO e modificata con Filtro Baader IR-Cut, ed è stata effettuata con autoguida Mag Zero MZ5-M  e  rifrattore 102/500 in parallelo. Successivamente i frames sono stati allineati calibrati con Deep Sky Stacker mediante l'uso di 23 dark da 10 minuti, 21 dark da 2 minuti, 13 flat, 13 dark dei flat e 13 bias, poi allineati e sommati con Registar, processati mediante applicazione di stretching, maschera sfocata, bilanciamento dei colori,  riduzione del rumore e deconvoluzione. This photo of the big globular cluster M 13 in Hercules was taken on may 1, 2009 from the backyard of my house in Arcidosso, in Italy, near Grosseto, at the prime focus of a Takahashi TSA102 telescope reduced at f/6.3 using a Gemini G41 Obs mount. The photo is the sum of 14 frames of 10 minutes plus 12 frames of 2 minute, taken using a Canon Eos 300D Digital Rebel camera, modified with a Baader IR-Cut filter, at 400 ISO and they were taken with a Mag Zero MZ5-M autoguide on a small refractor 102/500. I calibrated the frames with Deep Sky Stacker using 23 darks of 10 minutes each, 21 darks of 2 minutes each, 13 flats, 13 darks of flat, 13 bias, then I stacked and summed the resulting frames with Registar, and processed the resulting file with stretching, unsharp mask, color balance, noise reduction and deconvolution.
